Lewisville ISD selects SEAS™ as special education management system
Industry-leading software solution chosen in competitive RFP process over other solutions to manage the special needs program for over 5,000 special education students
Mountain Home, AR – November 29, 2005 – Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) located in North TX has selected the automated SEAS solution to manage their special needs program.
“We reviewed many different systems to find the right solution for LISD,” said Dr. Paula Walker, Director of Special Education. “The SEAS solution had the right combination of functionality, integration, and customization that would allow us to tailor the solution to our needs rather than making us change to accommodate the software.”
A 100 percent Web-based product, SEAS is designed to provide ease-of-use for teachers, while delivering the functionality needed to easily manage forms and reports tied to state-standard curriculum, related services tracking, reporting and analysis, and Medicaid billing.
At LISD, SEAS will be deployed to manage all of the district's documentation including special education forms customized to district standards. The system will also be deployed with the SEAS Services Tracking module, allowing the district's related services providers to easily and quickly document the services provided to students as committed to in the child's ARD.
“Computer Automation is very proud to receive LISD's business,” said Darren Johnson, Director of Marketing and Strategic Alliances. “We have worked very hard to provide the best overall solution in the market and this selection validates our commitment. Lewisville had very specific requirements including SIF Compliance, integration with CLASS, custom forms, and great customer service.”
Dr. Walker concurs, “A total commitment to customer service was very important to us. With all of the upcoming changes in special education, we wanted a real partner to grow with us and the Computer Automation references were outstanding.” Asked to comment on the implementation plan for SEAS, Dr. Walked concluded, “It won't be any good to us sitting on the shelf! We bought it with the intention of full system use this school year. It's an aggressive timeline but Computer Automation has a track record for custom implementations for even large school districts very quickly.”
