SEAS™ University Released to Customers
Cutting edge training and support center provides access to on-line lessons, podcasts, videos, and advanced documentation to SEAS users
Mountain Home, AR – September 18, 2008 – Computer Automation Systems Inc. (CAS), the nation’s leading provider of special education automation solutions, today announced the general availability of the SEAS™ University on-line training and support community.
SEAS University is an interactive, on-line community dedicated to supporting customers of the SEAS special education management system. SEAS University is a premium support site available only to CAS customers. It has different sections dedicated to a variety of users. For example, the “New Users” section focuses on the questions most frequently asked by a new SEAS user. The “Service Provider” section provides in-depth lessons on using the SEAS Related Services Tracker and the Assessment Report Manager. The “Administrators” section brings together tips and best practices for each of the administrative components of SEAS. All users will find engaging mini-lessons to help them maximize their usage of SEAS.
SEAS customers that have reviewed the service have immediately embraced the concept of this on-demand support community.
“SEAS University is exactly what we need for our very busy schedules,” said Clara Allred, Director at Twin Falls (Idaho) School District. “Our teachers can gather together and take the courses or access the SEAS University on their own schedule. We are delighted with this added feature. Thank you SEAS!”
Sue Shoff of Lee Summit’s (Missouri) School District quickly saw the impact that SEAS University would have in the current economic conditions. “SEAS University is GREAT! With many district watching budgets very carefully - this method of training and providing help for teachers meets everyone's needs.”
“I want to send this out to my whole staff right now,” said Andi Asel, Program Coordinator for Tolleson (Arizona) Union High School District. “It’s great that it quizzes them for comprehension at the end of each lesson and then re-teaches as needed.”
SEAS University contains constantly updated content so that special educators can remain current on changing needs. Each month, a new set of topics will be added. Much like a new issue of a magazine, the topics will be centered around a theme, such as, ‘Understanding Medicaid Reimbursement’. That month will feature mini-lessons for the Related Services Tracker and Claiming Module, as well as tutorials on the basics of Medicaid. Districts that are reaping the benefits of Medicaid reimbursement will be highlighted.
“The timing of this release couldn’t be better for our customers,” commented Darren Johnson, Director of Customer Services. “Their budgets are tightening but they still need to stay current. SEAS University allows CAS to deliver important and timely information to them in a just-in-time fashion.”
SEAS University is now available for general release. For information, please call, toll-free, (877) 221-7327.
