Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF)

Computer Automation is a member in good standing of the SIF Consortium. As such, CAS developed, deploys, and supports a SIF agent for SEAS.

Before the SIF initiative, school districts that wanted to combine best-of-breed solutions either wrote or hired vendors to develop expensive custom interfaces between systems. Another undesirable option was to compromise in certain areas and purchase a completely integrated package from a single vendor, knowing that some modules would be deficient.

Our SIF agent provides the ability to interface with any SIF-Compatible system. Your district now has the opportunity to combine superior solutions from different areas (Student management, food service, library, etc.) to build a comprehensive District Information System (DIS) that maximizes your district's investments in technology.

The SEAS SIF agent is written to the SIF 1.5 specification and is capable of both subscribing and publishing.
